RetroGuide.TV itself does not collect, sell or share your personal data. The app has no accounts of its own and no analytics, and it does not track you across other apps or websites. The free version on iPhone and iPad shows ads from Google, described below; Apple TV and RetroGuide Pro show no ads.

What the app connects to

The app connects only to plex.tv, to link your Plex account and find your servers, and directly to the media servers you choose to watch.

What is stored, and where

Your Plex access tokens and your settings (channels, theme and preferences) are stored only on your device, with tokens kept in the system keychain. They never leave your device except to sign in to Plex and your servers. Nothing is sent to us, and we run no servers that receive data from the app.

Ads in the free version (iPhone and iPad)

The free version shows ads served by Google AdMob. RetroGuide.TV only requests non-personalized ads: ads chosen from the context of the request, not from a profile of you, and the app never asks for permission to track you. To show these ads, measure them and prevent fraud, Google receives information such as your device model and operating system, your IP address (which gives an approximate location), and whether an ad was shown or tapped. In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, Google's consent form appears before any ads, and you can change your choice later under Settings > Privacy choices. Google's use of this data is described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

Buying RetroGuide Pro removes all ads. Purchases are handled by Apple; we never see your payment details.

Crash reports

If you have chosen to share analytics with app developers in your device settings, Apple may provide anonymous crash reports. You can turn this off at any time in your device's privacy settings.

This website

retroguide.tv uses no cookies, analytics or trackers. Like any web host, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes basic request information such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the site.

Children

RetroGuide.TV is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
