RetroGuide.TV turns your Plex library into live TV channels with a classic program guide, on iPhone, iPad and Apple TV.

Requirements

• A Plex Media Server that you own or that is shared with you.
• To watch away from home, the server needs Plex Remote Access turned on.

Getting started

1. Open the app and choose Connect Plex.
2. Go to plex.tv/link, sign in and enter the code shown in the app.
3. Pick your server and libraries, then choose Build My Channels.

Watching

• Apple TV: swipe up or down on the Siri Remote to change channels, and click to open the guide. Play/Pause jumps back to the last channel.
• iPhone and iPad: swipe up or down on the picture to change channels, tap it for controls, and tap Guide for the program guide.

Free and Pro

RetroGuide.TV is free. On iPhone and iPad the free version shows a small banner under the menus and, at most once per 90 minutes of watching, a full-screen ad between programs. RetroGuide Pro is a one-time purchase that removes ads and adds multiple servers, unlimited custom channels, every theme and schedule controls, on iPhone, iPad and Apple TV. Already bought it? Use Settings > RetroGuide Pro > Restore Purchase.

Something not playing?

• Make sure the Plex server is running and reachable, and try the channel again.
• If one title never plays, check that its file still exists and scan the library in Plex.
